The present invention relates to a new and useful improve¬ ment in handling and seeing the position of commode seats and lids. By allowing one finger to move a toilet seat or' lid this invention improves on prior art, eliminating the need for more than one finger to mover either part of the commode to the up or down position in which the seat or lid rests. Modern day viral transmissions being potentially lethal, the least amount skin contact with commode parts is especially apparen .
