Abstract:
A bidirectional adaptive clock circuit supporting a wide frequency range, belonging to the technical field of basic electronic circuits. Said circuit consists of a phase clock generation module, a phase clock selection module, an adaptive clock stretching or compression amount adjustment module and a control module. The adaptive clock stretching or compression amount adjustment module is able to monitor delay information of a critical path in a chip in real time, and feed the information back to the control module. Upon reception of a clock stretching or compression enable signal and a stretching or compression scale signal, the control module selects a target phase clock from clocks generated by the phase clock generation module, and completes rapid adjustment of an adaptive clock within a current period. The present invention does not require complicated gate devices, and has a stable structure, a low power consumption area cost, and a small impact caused by a PVT environment; the circuit has a simplified structure, is easy to implement, has a wide operating frequency and a short response time, and is suitable for an adaptive voltage frequency adjustment circuit based on on-line time sequence monitoring.
