Abstract:
The present invention relates to a bidirectional optical transmission and receiving device, in which one optical fiber and one package are used, wherein electro-optic crosstalk is minimized and optical coupling efficiency is magnified. Said device comprises: a package which has a cavity through which a plurality of lead lines pierce; a platform which is mounted on the package so that the cavity is completely covered, and is formed with a through hole having an inclined surface on an upper side of the cavity; a receiving unit which is mounted within the cavity, generates an electric signal corresponding to an input light incident into the cavity by passing through the through hole, and outputs the electric signal to at least one of the plurality of lead lines; a transmission unit which is mounted on the package so as to be positioned at an area in which the through hole is not formed, and generates an output light according to the electric signal transmitted through at least one of the plurality of lead lines; and a wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) filter which is mounted on the platform so as to be positioned on an upper side of the through hole, and delivers the output light toward an optical fiber and delivers the input light toward the through hole.
