Abstract:
A bidirectional pressing method for forming plant fiber pallet includes the
following steps: filling materials into the cavity (11) of a negative mold(1);
lifting the negative mold(1) by oil cylinders (15)to press an upper punch (2)
into the plate molding cavity of the negative mold(1); lifting lower punches(3)
by oil cylinders towards supporting foot molding cavities(12); stopping pressing
until the designed pressure is reached; performing heat preservation; and demolding
after solidification. The apparatus used for the method includes a negative
mold(1), an upper punch(2), a lower punch(3), a movable shelf(4), a frame(5)
and a hydraulic power unit. The advantages of the method and the apparatus include
equal compaction, reduced failure rate, lower production cost and higher carrying
capacity. The upper surface of molded pallets may be a plane or an uneven surface
to adapt to various requirements of products transportation.
