Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a bifunctional compound containing a perfluoro(poly)ether group, which is extremely useful as a raw material compound or an intermediate in the synthesis of compounds each containing a perfluoro(poly)ether group and having various structures.
The bifunctional compound containing a perfluoro(poly)ether group according to the present invention is represented by general formula (1) [wherein the group Rf represents a perfluoro(poly)ether group represented by chemical formula (2), wherein a, b, c and d independently represent an integer of 0 to 200, the sum total of a, b, c and d is 1 or more, the order of the arrangement of repeating units enclosed in parentheses respectively with small letters a, b, c and d attached thereto is arbitrary in the formula, and the sum total of a and b is 1 or more; A represents a R1O-CO-W- group wherein R1 represents an alkyl group and W represents a bond or a bivalent organic group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms; and Z represents a -X-Y group wherein X represents a bond or a bivalent organic group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms and Y represents a carboxylic acid group or a salt thereof.
