Abstract:
Provided is a bill processing device in which the categories of authenticity etc. of bills to be stacked in the same stacking part (12) can easily be distinguished. A bill processing device (1) is provided with a direction reversal part (28) which reverses bills carried by a carrying part (10). A storage part (32) contains preset correspondence relations between the categories of the bills and the directions of the bills to be stacked in the stacking part (12). On the basis of the category and direction of a bill identified by an identification part (13) and the correspondence relations, which are stored in the storage part (32), between the categories of the bills and the directions of the bills to be stacked in the stacking part (12), when the category and direction of the bill identified by the identification part (13) does not match with the correspondence relations, a control part (30) performs control so as to change the direction of the bill by the reversal part (28) to match the direction of each bill to be stacked in the stacking part (12) with the correspondence relation stored in the storage part (32).
