Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a bill processing device which separates and processes normal bills and rejected bills during replenishment/collection, and allows the number of normal bills being replenished/collected to be easily checked. The present invention for achieving this objective includes: a discerning unit which discerns whether bills being replenished or collected are normal; a temporary storage unit which temporarily stores bills that have been discerned as being normal bills in the discerning unit; a counterfeit bill cassette which stores replenishment rejected bills and collection rejected bills that have been rejected by the discerning unit; a bill storage unit which stores bills for replenishment or bills to be collected that have been discerned as being normal bills in the discerning unit; a replenishment/collection cassette which stores bills to be replenished to the bill storage unit or the normal bills that have been collected from the bill storage unit; and a return path through which the bills are returned.
