Abstract:
A billet splitting device for arranging billets, which are serially fed in a single
row, into two rows. The billet splitting device (A) is provided between a chute
(S) for feeding the billets (b) in a single row and a charge device (Cg) having a
reception table (B) for holding two billets (b) in a parallelly arranged state.
The billet splitting device (A) has a lower stage fixation plate (3), a middle
stage slide plate (2), and an upper stage slide plate (1). The lower stage fixation
plate (3) has a function for guiding charging of the two billets to the reception
table with the billets parallelly arranged. The medium stage slide plate (2)
has a function for moving the billets (b) on a one-by-one basis and parallelly
arranging them on the lower slide plate (3). The upper stage slide plate (1) has
a function of placing each billet (b), received from the chute (S), in a parallelly
split state on the middle slide plate (2).
