Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a binder, a cathode mixture and an anode mixture that are suitable for increasing the capacity and voltage, said binder, cathode mixture and anode mixture being capable of well holding a powdery electrode material even though they are used in a reduced amount compared with conventional cases, showing high adhesion to a current collecting base material, and having high flexibility so that, when an electrode is thickly applied, wound and pressed to increase the density, the electrode shows no crack.
The binder according to the present invention, which comprises a fluoropolymer, is characterized in that the fluoropolymer contains a polymerization unit based on vinylidene fluoride and a polymerization unit based on a monomer that has an amide group represented by -CO-NRR' [wherein R and R' are the same or different and each represents a hydrogen atom or an optionally substituted alkyl group] or an amide bond represented by -CO-NR"- [wherein R" represents a hydrogen atom, an optionally substituted alkyl group or an optionally substituted phenyl group], and has a solution viscosity of 10-20,000 mPa·s.
