Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a lithium ion secondary battery binder composition that can ensure the stability of a slurry composition and productivity for the production of an electrode while also exhibiting excellent cycling characteristics and high-temperature storage characteristics in a lithium ion secondary battery. Said binder composition includes an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid compound that comprises an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid and/or a salt thereof, and includes a copolymer that is obtained by polymerizing a monomer composition that includes a polyfunctional compound that has a polyoxyalkylene structure and two or more ethylenically unsaturated bonds.
