Abstract:
This binder composition for mold-making purposes contains a water-soluble phenol resin and a compound represented by formula (1), the nitrogen content being 0.1-1.1 mass%. Through use of this binder composition for mold-making purposes, it is possible to provide a binder composition for mold-making purposes with which it is possible to suppress the occurrence of formaldehyde odor and amine odor during mold-making and/or casting production, the binder composition for mold-making purposes having exceptional storage stability.
