A binder composition for a non-aqueous secondary cell electrode containing polymer A, wherein the polymer A contains nitrile-group-containing monomer units at a ratio of 80.0 to 99.9 mass% inclusive, the weight average molecular weight (Mw) of the polymer A is 700,000 to 2,000,000 inclusive, and the molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) of the polymer A is below 3.0.
