Abstract:
The present invention provides a binder composition for a power storage device, the binder composition: enabling the production of a power storage device electrode that exhibits an excellent surface state and adhesive properties; and being capable of improving the cycle characteristics of a power storage device by reducing an increase in the internal resistance thereof. This binder composition for a power storage device contains a polymer (A) and a liquid medium (B). When the total amount of repeating units included in the polymer (A) is taken to be 100 mass%: the polymer (A) contains 30-90 mass% of a repeating unit (a1) that is derived from a conjugated diene compound, and contains 1-70 mass% of a repeating unit (a2) that is derived from an α,β-unsaturated nitrile compound; and the iodine value of the polymer (A) is 130 mg/100 mg or more.
