Abstract:

A binder composition for secondary battery negative electrode and the use of the same, wherein the binder composition includes a particulate binder and a water-soluble polymer having an acid functionality, and the ionic conductance of said water-soluble polymer is represented by 1×10-5 to 1×10-3S/cm, and the degree of swelling of said water-soluble polymer with respect to a liquid having a solubility parameter of 8 to 13 (cal/cm3)1/2 is 1.0 to 2.0 times larger than the degree of swelling of said particulate binder measured under the same condition.
