The invention relates to polymer binders which are used for producing wood boards and plywood. The aim of said invention is to improve the strength of a glued joint, accelerate hardening and to reduce a time for pressing wood boards. The inventive binder for producing wood boards and plywood comprises a carbamide-formaldehyde oligomer, hardener and water. In a first variant, said binder additionally comprises AlO(OH), amorphous AlO(OH)+Al₂O₃ and $g(g)- Al₂O₃ at a following component ratio: 30-70 mass % carbamide-formaldehyde oligomer, 0.2-3 mass % hardener, 0.6-15 mass % AlO(OH), 0.6-10 mass % amorphous AlO(OH)+Al₂O₃ and 0.6-17 mass % $g(g)- Al₂O₃, the rest being water. In the second variant, the inventive binder for producing wood boards and plywood consisting of the carbamide-formaldehyde oligomer, hardener and water additionally comprises Al (OH) ₃ at a following component ratio: 30-70 mass % carbamide-formaldehyde oligomer, 0.2-3 mass % hardener, 2.0-20.0 mass % AlO(OH)₃, the rest being water.
