Abstract:
Disclosed is a binder for an unshaped refractory which comprises a solid solution in which a Ca component forms a solid solution in α-SrAl2O4 or β-SrAl2O4. The crystal grain size of the solid solution is between 40 nm and 75 nm when the solid solution contains α-SrAl2O4 and between 35 nm and 70 nm when the solid solution contains β-SrAl2O4.
