Abstract:
Provided is a paper binding device for binding a paper bundle by a nonmetal stitch, by which the stitch can be more reliably attached to bind the paper bundle.
A paper binding device (X) is provided with a support table (E) for supporting paper (P), a first operation unit (M1) which is movable in a substantially perpendicular direction with respect to the support table, and a second operation unit (M2) which is movable in a substantially perpendicular direction with respect to the support table and is movable independent from the first operation unit; wherein the first operation unit is provided with a pair of ascending/descending blocks (1, 2); the ascending/descending blocks comprise feeding holes (F1, F2) penetrating the ascending/descending blocks and through which a nonmetal wire rod (W) can be inserted from one side to the other side, vertically directed hollow punching blades(K1, K2) provided at mutually facing surface sides of the ascending/descending blocks to form stitch insertion holes in the paper, and guide grooves (G1, G2) which are substantially semicircular in the plan view and formed to be communicated with the punching blades; and the second operation unit is arranged between the ascending/descending blocks, and is provided with a pressing block (3) and a receiving block (4) which hold therebetween the wire rod inserted through the feeding holes, from upper and lower sides.
