Abstract:
The invention relates to the field of 3D sensing and measurement, and specifically, to a binocular stereo vision system and a depth measurement method. The depth measurement method adopted in the binocular stereo vision system comprises: generating a synchronous trigger signal, and transmitting the same to a left image acquisition unit and a right image acquisition unit (S1); performing, by adopting a pipeline and parallel architecture of a FPGA, and on pixels output by the left image acquisition unit and the right image acquisition unit, a distortion correction and stereo correction process (S3); obtaining a parallax of the pixels corresponding to left image and right image matching and generated by stereo matching (S4); and obtaining, according to the parallax, a real physical depth corresponding to the pixels (S5). The binocular stereo vision system and the depth measurement method adopt a FPGA platform for implementation, providing high integration and a fast processing speed, satisfying a real-time requirement, and achieving commercialization of the binocular stereo vision technology.
