Abstract:
Provided are: a biodegradable resin aqueous dispersion that has favorable dispersion and prevents separation, even when stored for a long time; and a method for using the biodegradable resin aqueous dispersion. This biodegradable resin aqueous dispersion is an aqueous dispersion in which a biodegradable resin is dispersed in an aqueous solvent. The biodegradable resin aqueous dispersion is characterized by containing a polylactic resin that is the biodegradable resin, a polyvinyl alcohol that has an average molecular weight of at least 20,000 as based on viscosity-average degree of polymerization and has a degree of saponification of no more than 98%, and a polyvalent carboxylic acid ester, the mass ratio of the polyvalent carboxylic acid ester to the polyvinyl alcohol being no more than 6.
