Abstract:
The present invention relates to biodegradable spandex and a manufacturing method therefor. The biodegradable spandex of the present invention comprises polycaprolactone diol in a polymer backbone, and thus can be effectively biodegraded in a short time while also having excellent physical properties. While it is known that the biodegradation period of conventional general spandex takes at least 20 years, the biodegradable spandex of the present invention may provide a significant advantage in that the biodegradation period is dramatically shortened to 2 to 3 years as the biodegradable spandex has a fast biodegradation rate of 0.1%/day to 0.2%/day when measured by the carbon dioxide emission measurement method specified in ISO 14855.
