Abstract:
The present invention relates to: a biodegradable suture in which a plurality of retainers produced separately are inserted in the longitudinal direction of the suture to be fixed to the suture such that the suture inserted into a human body can more securely hold body tissue through a retainer structure; and a method for producing same. An embodiment of the method for producing a biodegradable suture having retainers may include: a step for providing a biodegradable suture body formed to be long in the longitudinal direction; a step for providing insertion holes by penetrating a central portion of a plurality of retainers made of a biodegradable material; a step for arranging the retainers spaced apart from each other along the outer peripheral surface of a suture body by inserting the retainers into the suture body; and a step for fixing the retainers to the outer peripheral surface of the suture body.
