Provided is a biological body state assessment device capable of accurately assessing an absent-minded state of a driver. A biological body state assessment device acquires face image data of a face image capturing camera, detects duration that the driver's eyes are open and face direction right/left angles of a driver from the face image data, calculates dispersion of durations that the driver's eyes are open and dispersion of the face direction right/left angles, and performs threshold processing of the dispersion of durations that the driver's eyes are open and the dispersion of the face direction right/left angles, respectively, so as to detect the absent-minded state of the driver. Then, on the basis of the absent-minded state detection flag and the dispersion of durations that the eyes are open, the biological body state assessment device assesses the possibility regarding the occurrence of driver's drowsiness in the future using a line fitting method, and when it is assessed that drowsiness of the driver may occur, estimates the time at which driver's drowsiness occurs.
