Abstract:
In order to stably detect biological information such as the heartbeat, respiration, and pulse waves of a living organism, a transmission antenna (11), in a biological information detection system (10) that detects biological information, irradiates microwaves in a prescribed polarized state on to the living organism. A reception antenna (12) receives microwaves that are in a polarized state and orthogonal to said microwaves as a result of reflection inside the living organism. A detection unit (15) detects biological information on the basis of the microwaves received by the reception antenna (12).
