Abstract:
The present invention continuously acquires information on the pulse wave and blood pressure of a measurement subject. The present invention is a biological information reading device (1) that is used stuck to a living body and that is provided with: a biological information acquiring unit (2) that is stuck to the living body and that acquires biological measurement information; and a computing unit (24) that, on the basis of the biological measurement information acquired by the biological information acquiring unit (2), performs computations that generate biological information. The biological information acquiring unit (2) has: a light-emitting element (10) that emits polarized light as outbound light (30); a transmission film (14) through which the outbound light (30) that is emitted from the light-emitting element (10) enters skin (40); a light-receiving element (12) that receives return light (32) that has been transmitted through the transmission film (14), has been reflected inside the skin (40), and has been transmitted back through the transmission film (14); and a 1/4 wavelength plate (13) that is provided at a site through which the outbound light (30) and the return light (32) pass and that changes the polarization characteristics of passing outbound light (30) and return light (32).
