Abstract:
Provided are: a biological sample treatment system capable of easily treating a biological sample; and a pressing device and a pressing mechanism applicable to the biological sample treatment system. This biological sample treatment system includes: a biological sample treatment tool 50 for extracting a nucleic acid; and a pressing device 10 for pressing the biological sample treatment tool. The biological sample treatment tool 50 includes a plurality of liquid storage parts 50Li. The pressing device includes a plurality of pressing parts 20. The pressing parts 20 are respectively provided to positions corresponding to the liquid storage parts. The pressing parts 20 are arranged side by side along a prescribed direction, and respectively press liquids in the corresponding liquid storage parts 50Li at prescribed timings. The pressing parts 20 have a plurality of cams provided to the same rotary shaft. The cams apply pressing forces to the corresponding pressing parts 20, and the pressing parts 20 press the liquids in the corresponding liquid storage parts 50Li at the prescribed timings.
