Abstract:

Provided is a biologically-derived-fluid processing filter that processes a biologically-derived fluid that includes red blood cells, said filter comprising a carrier and a polymer that is supported on the carrier, wherein the polymer has a basic nitrogen-containing functional group and a functional group that includes a zwitterion. Using the filter that includes the polymer having a basic nitrogen-containing functional group and a functional group that includes a zwitterion, the biologically-derived fluid that includes red blood cells can be processed without negatively affecting the red blood cells.
