Title:
BIOLUMINESCENCE MEASURING INSTRUMENT
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2006/008936
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A measuring chair (7) comprises a chair seat section (8), a backrest section (9), a pair of armrest sections (10), a pillow section (11) provided at the upper part of the backrest section (9), a desk (12) provided on the both armrest sections (10), and a jaw receiving section (13) for receiving the jaw of a subject (1) and restraining the movement thereof. The pillow section (11) receives the back of head of the subject (1) and restrains the movement of the head of the subject (1). The desk (12) has an inclining part (12b) arrange obliquely to the horizontal plane. The jaw receiving section (13) has a nested supporting column (13a) having a root end part attached rotatably in all directions to the horizontal part (12a) of the desk, and a contact part (13b) provided at the forward end part of the supporting column (13a) to abut against the jaw. With such a measuring chair of simple arrangement, the movement of the upper body of the subject is restrained effectively without imparting a sense of oppression to the subject, thus providing a bioluminescence measuring instrument ensuring bioluminescence measurement with high measurement precision.
