Abstract:
In the present invention, differential expression of 23 genes has been identified, which are GATA3, FOXA1, RASSF5, PTPN6, TRNP1, APOBEC3D, APOBEC3G, ABL1, ABL2, CACNA2D1, JUN, GNG4, NGF, MYC, MAP4K4, STC1, FOXD1, FOXC2, TGFB1, TGFB3, NOG, SMAD9, and NT5E, and it has been confirmed that expression of the 23 genes correlates with the prognosis and survival of bladder cancer patients and thus can be used as biomarkers for diagnosing anticancer drug-resistant bladder cancer, or predicting metastasis or making a prognosis thereof. In addition, it has been confirmed that, as a bladder cancer cell line acquires resistance, the ability for tumor infiltration and migration increases and the resistance to an anticancer drug also increases, and that the 23 genes are differentially expressed as a bladder cancer cell line acquires resistance to an anticancer drug. Further, it has been confirmed that, upon administration of an anticancer drug-resistant bladder cancer cell line to mice, the ability for tumor proliferation and metastasis increases, and that the expression of the 23 genes also increases in a mouse tumor. As such, the present invention is effective in making a diagnosis, prognosis, or metastasis prediction of cancer and also exhibits an excellent effect in diagnosing anticancer drug-resistant cancer, and thus would be useful in related industries.
