Abstract:
The present invention relates to biomarkers for predicting a response to an immunotherapeutic anticancer drug and a use thereof and, more particularly, to: a marker composition for predicting a response to pembrolizumab, which is a PD-1 inhibitor, the marker composition comprising at least one gene selected from the group consisting of armadillo repeat-containing X-linked protein 1 (ARMCX1), serine/threonine-protein kinase D1 (PRKD1), and tyrosine kinase 2 (TYK2) or protein(s) encoded by the at least one gene; a composition and kit for predicting a response; and a method for providing information for predicting a response. For gene markers according to the present invention, analysis is performed using patient-derived formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissues, and thus there is no need to collect a separate sample, resulting in convenient analysis, and the gene markers can predict a response to the immunotherapeutic anticancer drug through gene expression analysis, and thus can provide information for the selection of optimum therapy. Accordingly, the gene markers are expected to be effective in clinical use.
