Abstract:
It is intended to provide an osteogenesis material which is a composition containing a) a copolymer of a hydroxycarboxylic acid with polyethylene glycol, b) polyethylene glycol, c) calcium phosphate and d) a substance having a pharmacological activity of promoting osteogenesis, or a kit containing the same as constituents to be combined. This composition can be administered by injecting into a desired position with a need for osteogenesis and can easily solidify in vivo. Furthermore, it releases the substance having a pharmacological activity of promoting osteogenesis over a time sufficient for osteogenesis in vivo and yet decomposes by itself, which makes it useful as a biomaterial for osteogenesis enabling favorable osteogenesis.
