Abstract:
A biometric authentication device includes an imaging means for imaging an organism and obtaining biometric information thereabout, an authenticating means for checking the biometric information with registered biometric information, a posture judging means for judging the stability of the posture of the organism on the basis of the history of posture information about the posture of the organism of when the organism is imaged, and an update determining means for determining that the registered biometric information is to be updated if the posture of the organism is judged as stable by the posture judging means.
