Abstract:
[Problem] To achieve more efficient, securer biometric authentication based on a biological image than a conventional technology.
[Solution] A biometric authentication system 100 includes: a storage device 101 that holds an authentication database 125 in which authentication data based on taken images of a plurality of parts for each registrant is stored; and a computation device 104 that takes images of a plurality of parts of an authentication requesting person with a predetermined image pickup device 110, extracts, from an authentication data group of the authentication database 125, a registrant group that coincides with at least one of the number of or kind of parts to be photographed, and performs a biometric authentication process based on matching of the authentication data of the registrant group and the authentication data based on taken image of the authentication requesting person.
