Abstract:
Provided are a biometric identity verification method and device. The method comprises: after a first biometric image is obtained, dividing the first biometric image into multiple first biometric regions; extracting a feature from each first biometric region to obtain feature data of each first biometric region; obtaining, on the basis of match results of the first biometric regions, a match score of the first biometric image; and obtaining, on the basis of the match score of the first biometric image, a user identity verification result corresponding to the first biometric image. In other words, the invention can obtain the user identity verification result corresponding to the first biometric image on the basis of a ratio of valid matches in the first biometric regions, thereby lowering a requirement on quality of the first biometric image to a certain extent, and accordingly reducing a probability of verification retry caused by a defect in a first biometric image resulting from factors such as a photographing angle and illumination.
