Abstract:
A needle tip section (34) of a biopsy needle comprises: a first chamfer surface (36) constituted by a flat surface extending in a direction crossing the axis (X1) of a tubular section (31); a second chamfer surface (37) disposed angularly adjacent to the first chamfer surface (36) and constituted by a flat surface adjacent to the inner circumferential surface (33) of the tubular section (31); a third chamfer surface (38) which is disposed angularly adjacent to the first chamfer surface (36) on the opposite side of an opening (35) from the second chamfer surface (37), and which is constituted by a flat surface adjacent to the inner circumferential surface (33) of the tubular section (31); a first boundary line (40) which is a boundary between the first chamfer surface (36) and the second chamfer surface (37); and a second boundary line (43) which is a boundary between the first chamfer surface (36) and the third chamfer surface (38). The first boundary line (40) and the second boundary line (43) are non-parallel lines the distance between which gradually increases from a second end (31b) to a first end (31a) in the axis (X1) direction of the tubular section (31).
