Title:
BIOSENSOR, METHOD FOR DETECTING BIOMOLECULES, AND BIOCHIP
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/082227
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention provides a biosensor for detecting biomolecules in a specimen with high accuracy and high sensitivity. The present invention is a biosensor for detecting biomolecules in a specimen, wherein the biosensor is provided with a substrate, a magnetoresistance element in which the detected resistance value changes in accordance with the orientation of an inputted magnetic field, a soft-magnetic thin film disposed adjacent to the magnetoresistance element, and a protective film for covering the surface of the soft-magnetic thin film. The protective film is provided with a first affinity substance for recognizing biomolecules on the external surface of the protective film. The soft-magnetic thin film has: a function for changing the direction of a magnetic field (applied magnetic field) applied in substantially the direction of a normal to a laminated surface, and generating a magnetic-field component in the direction of the magnetic sensitivity of the magnetoresistance element as a leakage magnetic field (detection magnetic field) on the laminated-surface end part of the soft-magnetic thin film; and a function for transmitting to the magnetoresistance element a laminated-surface-inward component of a stray magnetic field from magnetic beads collected on the soft-magnetic thin film.
