Title:
BIOSENSOR USING AFFINITY SUPPORT HAVING ELECTROLYTIC CUTTING ABILITY AND METHOD OF ASSAYING BIOLOGICAL SUBSTANCE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2006/073047
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
It is intended to provide a biosensor which is capable of conveniently and highly sensitively detecting a biological substance. Namely, a change in a physical characteristic of an affinity support having an electrolytic cutting ability before and after electrolytic cutting is tactfully employed. A biosensor using an affinity support having an electrolytic cutting ability wherein a ligand capable of specifically binding to an analyte in a subject to be examined is bound to an electrically conductive material via an electrolytic cutting site, comprising a means of quantifying a substance involving the electrolytic cutting site after the electrolytic cutting and a means of determining the presence or absence of the analyte in the subject to be examined based on the amount of the substance involving the electrolytic cutting site obtained by the cutting at the electrolytic cutting site after the reaction with the subject to be examined. A biosensor having a similar means of determining the presence or absence of an analyte in a subject to be examined based on a difference in an optical characteristic or an electrical characteristic before and after the electrolytic cutting. A method of assaying a biological substance by using such a biosensor.
