Abstract:
In order to provide a biosensor provided with an aspiration mechanism while using an elastic surface-wave element or another detection element, the present invention is provided with: a first cover member (1) having an element-accommodating recess (5) on a top surface; a detection element (3) having an element substrate (10) accommodated in the element-accommodating recess (5), and at least one detection unit (13) that reacts with a component included in a specimen, the at least one detection unit being positioned on the top surface of the element substrate (10); and a second cover member (2) joined to the first cover member (1) so as to cover the detection element (3), the second cover member having an inflow port (14) in through which the specimen flows and a channeled part (15) extending from the inflow port (14) at least to the top of the detection unit.
