Abstract:
Provided is a bipolar storage battery capable of increasing energy density while achieving both airtightness and mechanical strength. A bipolar lead storage battery (100) comprises: outer walls (112), (122) that project integrally along a peripheral edge on opposing faces of one of mutually opposing frame plates (111), (121); and joining walls (113), (133) that project integrally on the opposing faces of the other of the frame plates (111), (131), are located further inward than the outer walls (112), 122) of the one of the frame plates (111), (121), and surround a peripheral edge of a cell member (140), wherein the opposing faces of the joining walls (113), (133) and the one of the frame plates (111), (121) are joined by using a joining material (151).
