Abstract:
Provided is a bipolar storage battery in which, even when growth occurs in a positive electrode due to corrosion caused by sulfuric acid contained in an electrolytic solution, the penetration of the electrolytic solution into an interface between the positive electrode and an adhesive is made difficult, and degradation of battery performance is unlikely to occur. The bipolar storage battery (1) is characterized by comprising a positive electrode (120) and a negative electrode (110) and a bipolar electrode (130) having a bipolar plate (111) provided with the positive electrode (120) on one surface thereof and provided with the negative electrode (110) on the other surface thereof, wherein the bipolar electrode (130) includes a covering member (150) covering a peripheral edge part (120a) in close contact with the peripheral edge part (120a) on a surface facing a surface, of the positive electrode (120), bonded to the bipolar plate (111).
