Abstract:
Disclosed are a bird expelling method and a waistcoat using ultraviolet reflection of titanium dioxide. On the basis of the fact that birds are sensitive to some bands of ultraviolet, titanium dioxide particles with the wavelength same as the bands sensitive to birds are selected and applied to a waistcoat ordinarily worn by a bird expelling worker. The bird expelling waistcoat comprises a cloth layer (1) and a titanium dioxide particle layer (2) adhered to the cloth layer (1) by a Velcro, and the ultraviolet reflection wavelength of the titanium dioxide particles is between 350 nm and 360 nm, between 360 nm to 370 nm, and between 370 nm to 380 nm. Most of birds are especially sensitive to these bands of ultraviolet. When seeing ultraviolet reflected waves of the titanium dioxide particles, birds can distinguish the bird expelling worker at a longer distance and evade the worker in advance, such that a better bird expelling effect is achieved, and the risk of bird strike is reduced. Furthermore, the labor intensity of the worker can be reduced, and the waistcoat is simple in structure and low in production cost.
