Abstract:
The present invention relates to a birdbath-type resonator shell and a manufacturing method therefor, and a manufacturing method according to the present invention comprises the steps of: preparing a glass substrate; preparing a mold having cavities on both sides centered on a central post; combining the glass substrate on the mold to form a birdbath-type resonator shell; and polishing and post-processing the molded birdbath-type resonator shell, wherein the molded birdbath-type resonator shell has a vertical limb portion. Through this, it is possible to manufacture a birdbath-type resonator shell having improved quality compared to a conventional resonator shell, when implementing a vibration gyro sensor through the birdbath-type resonator shell, the response area of an electrode and a resonator shell in the vibration gyro sensor is maximized, and the gap between the resonator and the electrode can be kept constant and minimized at the same time, thereby improving the sensing resolution of the vibration gyro sensor.
