Abstract:
The present invention is characterized by being provided with: a video data acquisition unit 42 for acquiring surroundings video data captured by a plurality of cameras that image the surroundings of a vehicle; a bird's-eye-view video generation unit 44 for performing a viewpoint conversion process and a synthesis process including a host vehicle icon that indicates the vehicle on the surroundings video acquired by the video data acquisition unit 42 and thereby generating a bird's-eye-view video that displays a prescribed display range from the vehicle; a reference object detection unit 45 for detecting a reference object in the surrounds of the vehicle; a direction specification unit 46 for specifying the relative directions of the reference object detected by the reference object detection unit and the vehicle; a superimposition processing unit 48 for generating a superimposed video in which information indicating the relative directions of the reference object and the vehicle, as being relative directions based on the host vehicle icon, is superimposed on the bird's-eye-view video generated by the bird's-eye-view video generation unit 44; and a display control unit 49 for causing the superimposed video generated by the superimposition processing unit 48 to be displayed on a display panel 31.
