Abstract:
The present invention relates to a visible light-responsive photocatalyst effective for eliminating algae and a preparation method therefor and, more particularly, to a visible light-responsive photocatalyst comprising nickel-doped bismuth vanadate (BiVO4) for the removal of algae, and a method for preparing the same. A nickel-doped bismuth vanadate photocatalyst of the present invention was observed to exhibit a more outstanding effect of eliminating algae than bismuth vanadate having no nickel dopants thereon and to be effective for degrading drug wastes such as ibuprofen.
