Bisthiadiazole derivatives of general formula (I) and salts thereof, and disease controlling agents containing the derivatives or the salts as the active ingredients, wherein R?1� and R?2� are each H, C�1?-C�8? alkyl, C�1?-C�4? haloalkyl, substituted or unsubstituted phenyl, a 5- or 6-membered heterocyclic group containing 1 to 3 heteroatoms selected from among O, S and N, or the like; X?1� and X?2� are each O or S; Y?1� and Y?2� are each O, S or -N(R?3�)-; and R is C�0?-C�30? alkylene, -(C)�a?(R?3�)(R?4�)- (wherein R?3� and R?4� are each H, halogeno, OH, C�1?-C�4? alkyl, C�1?-C�4? haloalkyl or the like; and a is 0 to 30), or the like.
