Abstract:
A black paste&semi and a plasma display panel comprising a black layer containing a cobalt oxide and a glass component&semi and a method for manufacturing the plasma display panel. The black paste and the black layer in the plasma display panel can be used in place of expensive ruthenium oxide or oxides of ruthenium which have been required in the prior art of a plasma display panel for preparing a black layer having both high degree of blackness and electric conductivity for use in forming a layer having a low light transmittance and low reflectance on the front glass substrate side of a metal electrode, for the purpose of reducing the reflection of a light from outside by the metal electrode having high reflectivity arranged on a front panel and thus achieving improved contrast of display.
