Title:
BLADE EDGE STRUCTURE FOR CORE DRILL
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2004/056521
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A blade edge structure for a core drill, where diamond grains are used efficiently, a cutting edge portion does not have deformation after it is used for long hours, and the structure exerts high cutting performance. In a core drill (A), circumferential gaps (3) are formed and cutting edges (2) are intermittently arranged at an opening end portion (4) of a tubular core body (1). In a cross section of the opening end portion (4) taken in a radial direction, a corner portion of an end face (4A) of at least opening end portion (4) is formed in a round shape. The cutting edges (2) are formed by fixing diamond grains to such an opening end portion (4), and the fixing is made from the inner periphery side to the outer periphery side of the core body (1).
