Abstract:
Provided is a production method of a blank forming the trunk or body of a paper container and having an end portion covered with a synthetic resin coating. Also provided is a paper container exhibiting excellent water resistance, oil resistance and gas barrier properties by using the blank. In a method for producing a blank forming the trunk or body of a paper container by punching a blank from a bare paper, holes are punctured previously in the bare paper at a part corresponding to one end portion of a blank to be punched along the end portion, thermoplastic resin is applied to the opposite sides of the punctured bare paper such that each side has a thickness of 20μm or more, and then a blank is punched from the bare paper such that a film of thermoplastic resin formed at the part of the hole becomes a lug elongating to one end portion of the blank.
