Abstract:
A blast-resistant window assembly (2) is provided. The assembly (2) has a window, and first and second brackets.(16, 24) The window is fitted within an opening (4) having at least one wall. The first bracket (16) has a brace (28) located adjacent the window, and a stop (30) located adjacent the wall. The second bracket is located (24) adjacent the wall and is configured to receive the stop (30). During an explosion, force created therefrom causes the window to engage the brace (28) of the first bracket (16) to cause the stop (30) of the same to be received by the second bracket (24).
