Title:
BLDC MOTOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2011/145791
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a brushless DC (BLDC) motor, and more particularly, to a BLDC motor in which: a rotor includes a permanent magnet, and neither a brush nor a commutator; a field pole is disposed so as to have a coil of a 3-phase motor; and a power device such as a field effect transistor (FET) controls a current flowing through a corresponding field coil after a hole sensor or a photo sensor detects the position of the rotor, in order to obtain rotary power through repulsive and attractive forces. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a BLDC motor including a coil that is not wound onto a core, but wound onto a bobbin. According to the present invention, a coil (12) is not wound onto a large and heavy core, but is wound onto a slim and light bobbin (11). Thus, the BLDC motor of the present invention may have increased output and be smaller in size (volume) and lower in weight as compared to a typical BLDC motor, and also may have drastically increased output while having the same or similar size and weight as a typical BLDC motor.
