Abstract:
Disclosed is a polyester/polycarbonate blend, which has superior thermal stability and color stability thereby having high transparency, flame resistance, and superior compatibility between compositions. The polyester/polycarbonate blend comprises: (a) 10 to 50 wt% of a first polyester containing a diol ingredient that comprises a dicarboxylic acid ingredient containing 50 to 100 mol% of a terephthalic acid residue and 40 to 90 mol% of a 1, 4-cyclohexane dimethanol residue; (b) 3 to 30 wt% of a second polyester containing a diol ingredient that comprises the dicarboxylic acid ingredient containing 50 to 100 mol% of the terephtalic acid residue, 1 to 80 mol% of the cyclohexane dimethanol residue, and 1 to 60 mol% of an isosorbide residue; and (c) 20 to 87 wt% of a polycarbonate.
